Dave Neill, The Greenville News

Dave Neill is Regional President / Carolinas for the Gannett Company, and serves as President and Publisher of the Greenville News in South Carolina, and The Asheville Citizen-Times in North Carolina. He joined the Gannett Company in September of 2013. 

Prior to this, Dave served as president & publisher of the E.W. Scripps owned Naples (FL) Daily News.

He was also a regional publisher for the E.W. Scripps Company. Dave held this role from June 2010 – August 2013. He joined Scripps in 2006 as general manager of the Bonita Springs Banner and was promoted to vice president and general manager of Naples Daily News in 2007.

Dave began in the media business as a high school photo intern at The Mellus Newpapers in suburban Detroit, as well as The Detroit News.

Neill is active with numerous non-profit organizations, and serves on the boards of the Asheville Art Museum, Asheville Chamber of Commerce, Advisory Board of the Greenville Chamber, Artis-Naples, IMAGINE Solutions, and the advisory board of the Holocaust Museum of Southwest Florida. Dave is a long-standing member of the National Press Photographers Association. 

Dave continues art and photo endeavors, working out of his Naples studio. He and his wife Gina have two children, and residences in Asheville, Greenville, and Naples.
